Artist’s Retreat
In this secluded East Hampton hideaway light shines across a wide-open lawn punctuated by three modest structures — relics from a previous life (including the first firehouse in town). In the center of the two acre property, the main home – with its’ modest charm – is awash with crisp white surfaces and layered in a globally sourced collection of textures. Important works of art from past and present mix with both modern forms mix and those more rustic in nature. The home’s volume, however, is left largely unadorned – a space within which to create one’s next great work.
